Thom-
We are so saddened to hear about Brad. Bobby was good friends with Brad and David Steele. Brad would always show Bobby new licks on the guitar anytime we visited him. When Bobby and I were married the only music we had at the wedding was Brad and his guitar. He was such an awesome and giving man. Bobby has met you on several occasions when you visited Brad in Virginia. Having a cookout and everyone sitting around with guitars in hand. I met you at the Benefit Concert you and Brad held for David. We have lost a good friend but the world has lost one of the best guitar men around. Brad may be gone from this earth but Brad and his music will live on. Our hearts and prayers go out to you.

Thom, I am so sorry for the loss of your best friend Buster. I was lucky enough to have met him and watch both of you play together years ago. He will be truly missed.

It is in my opinion, that the way you were raised around all that art, shows in everything you do. The cafe, the pickin, the pics, it all comes together in what you should be proud to call your life. I'm very happy to say that I really enjoyed your website and I hope to come to the cafe again soon sometime. Keep up the good work and I'll be seeing you around.

I am so sorry that I did'nt hear you when I was trying to learn how to play. You sir, and your frind, Buster B. are thoe most amazing pickers I've ever heard. I've read that the pupils are supposed to be better than the teacher. You have achieved!! Thanks for sharing your gift.

Saw you when you came to the KTPC Christmas gathering. Loved your performance. I've seen everyone in there play, Alex Dunn is my great uncle in fact, we used to be up there every Friday, but when you played Mr. Guitar My Friend I was in a daze.
Next time you come around, I'm going!

Annette Crees RE: David Plummer

I sometimes browse in Google for Plummer Guitars only because I have a good friend, a neice of David Plummer, whose boys have formed a band and play locally in Des Moines, Iowa. One of the boys, Ben, found an original Plummer Guitar a few months ago and cherishes it. The name of the band is Douglas Acres...the boys are Beau and Ben Nystrom and they have suceeded in achieving some recognition of their talent in a very short period of time. Check out their My Space site (Douglas Acres) and check out Beau's original songs and commentary on his musical heritage. They're also playing in the Little Big Fest in Des Moines on the 29th. Thanks for your time. Annette Crees. AnnetteCrees@gmail.com

Where can I get your CD's. Up until last year I had never hearde of you. My Dad use to talk about Merle Travis's son, but I didn't put the name right. When my Dad died, he had some of your CD's, and I got two of them, still not knowing who you were. I played them when I got back home, and realized what I had been missing all these years. You are great! I use to play guitar but I messed my fingers up working, and can not push the string any more, but I like to listen to good music, which there is not much of any more. However, you play great! I had all of Chet Atkins records, most of Merle Travis. Too bad I have never seen you on the TV, but now that I have heard you, I just need to know where to buy your CD's. I don't do MP3. Thanks

Thom, I enjoyed visiting your site and especially enjoyed your "Reed between the strings" video. I am a long time Jerry Reed fan and his recent passing was hard to take. He could pick with the best of them. Keep up the great work.

Hi Thom. Love the website and, more important, love the pickin'.
Your Reed Between The Strings video was terrific, a great choice of tribute to one of the best pickers ever, the last of the great trilogy Travis, Atkins and Reed. Must go now as I have to practice Jerry's Breakdown
