Hey Thom! Saw you at CAAS this year...You have become a far greater player than ol' Merle and thats not slighting him at all. Played for him in a cabin down by twin bridges a long time ago.. Had no idea who he was at the time!! My wife at that time was his nurse... She wouldn't tell me who he was at that time, its funny how much I discussed himself to him. The joke was on me. I didn't go back cause he was so frail I was afraid I might cause him further problems...He said I would have been a pretty good player if I'd stuck with it... I think I was better off being a pipefitter cause I didn't really have it as a player. Boy when I see you and the players of today that is verified. I enjoy your stuff, I dont think you really understand how good you really are with your style and all, which I personally prefer to almost everybody else. Aw shit. See you between fishin' trips. L

Hey Thom,
I have a very straight forward question for you. Have you given you life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? If not, what better time than here at Easter, when we celebrate His ressurection? God loves you Thom. He sent His only Son Jesus to earth to pay the price for your sins. He paid a terrible penalty for you Thom. He want's you to spend eternity with Him in Heaven, but you have to accept the free gift he's offering you. Free to you yes, but it cost Him everything. You know in your heart you've sinned against God and that your sin separates you from God. Don't put it off Thom. No one is guaranteed tomorrow. The bible says now is the accepted day of salvation.

David

Hello Thom,
This is Asael Ben Tzroya from Israel.
I am a huge fan of both You and Travis.
I am a professional guitar player in the jazz/rock and fusion genre and I recently started to get into Travis style acoustic playing.
I simply love the way you pick, so much emotion, elegance and style in your playing.
I have also purchased you Homespun dvd and I'm having a ball with it. I finally got to see up close how it is really done!
I just wanted to say thank you for being such an inspiration and a great teacher.
Best Regards,
Asael

Breshman - thanks for doing the Homespun Travis instructional tape, Everytime I feel like I'm in a playing rut I turn it on & it keeps me learning & playing.
Everytime I see Happy Traum (at the Merlefest) I ask him if he can get you to do another one. Thanks again.

Hey Mr B,
These tunes are fantastic. My fav is Mr Guitar. It would be very cool if you would do a complete lesson on it for us sometime???? You certainly got pop's talent, for sure. Now if you could only get me together with the women of my dreams, Alison Krauss.

Thom,
Thanks for teaching me the 'Guitar Rag'. Maybe I will play a small part in passing this wonderful piece of fingerstyle on to future generations.
